Once an area of 200,000 inhabitants, Hawally had in 1994 less than 100,000 residents and the main purpose of the project was to provide a sound data base, incorporating a fully developed GIS system, to assist Kuwait Municipality in its future decision making.
Traffic and parking surveys and traffic analysis were also undertaken. The Study was conducted in association with WS Atkins of UK.
