Ashok has been with Gulf Consult since 1990 and is an Associate and Senior Projects Manager. He has worked on numerous prestigious projects in Kuwait and has an excellent working knowledge of local processes and procedures. Some of Ashok’s major projects include: Villa Moda in KFTZ; Seef Hospital; Center for Research and Studies on Kuwait; and the New Kuwait International Airport T2.

Ashok has 45 years of professional experience in India, Iran and Kuwait. He is an Associate Member of the Indian Institute of Architects and a registered member of the Council of Architecture in India.

He graduated in 1971 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Chandigarh College of Architecture, Punjab University, India

Khalid has been working at Gulf Consult since 1993 and currently is the Deputy Head of Structural Engineering and an Associate. He has over 33 years of diversified practice as a lead structural engineer with hands-on experience in designing bridges, industrial projects, hospitals, institutional building complexes, airports, management of design teams, and production of contract drawings.

Before coming to Kuwait, Khalid worked in consulting firms for over nine years, where he designed major bridges and heavy industrial projects.

Khalid Ahmad graduated in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from NED University of Engineering & Technology Karachi, Pakistan, followed by his master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Kuwait University in 2009.

As Chairman, Najla is dedicated to maintaining Gulf Consult's place at the forefront of engineering consulting in Kuwait and driving the company forward to meet continuously higher standards and challenges. Her commitment to providing clients with a professional, modern, and personalized experience is at the core of all of Gulf Consult's activities. Najla is actively involved in the firm's day-to-day affairs, as well as defining corporate strategies and operational policies. Since joining the firm in 2000 as an Associate Director, she has worked on several major projects in both design and supervision.

Prior to joining Gulf Consult, Najla interned at Banque Worms and BFI in Paris and Geneva, and later worked as a Relationship Officer in the Corporate Finance Department of the National Bank of Kuwait. Through this background, Najla brings a wealth of experience in executive management and business development to Gulf Consult.

 
Najla holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Arizona at Tucson, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from San Jose State University.

As Director of Gulf Consult, Sherifa is committed to expanding its presence as a premier engineering consulting firm, both in Kuwait and abroad. She oversees international business relations and is directing Gulf Consult's global expansion as the company embarks on new projects in multiple countries. Sherifa is actively involved in several key projects, as well as day-to-day company management. She began her career at Gulf Consult in 2003 as a Civil Engineer and has worked on several projects ranging from infrastructure and roads to master planning. She was seconded to international consultants, such as Atkins, Mouchel Parkman and Parkins Brinckeroff, and gained valuable experience in the field of Transportation and Urban Planning.

Sherifa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from San Jose State University, and a Master of Arts degree in International Planning and Sustainable Development from University of Westminster.

Ahmed has worked with Gulf Consult since 1994 and is an Associate and the Head of the Electrical Department. His experience includes successfully completing the design of landmark projects, such as Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah Hospital, College of Science at Kuwait University’s new campus at Sabah Al-Salem, and Kuwait International Airport T2.

Prior to joining Gulf Consult, Ahmed worked at the Ministry of Electricity for five years, where he gained imperative in-house experience and knowledge of MEW’s common practices and standards. He is a permanent member of the Kuwait Society of Engineers and has been conferred the title of Chartered Design and Supervision Engineer.

Ahmed acquired his B.Sc. from Mansoura University, Egypt, in Electrical Engineering in 1982, and is a licensed engineer by the Ministry of Electricity and Water.

Joining Dar Gulf Consult in 2010, Jay Stoughtenger has worked on several of Gulf Consult’s seminal projects, creating innovative design solutions unique to the project’s local context. As Head of Architecture, Jay delivers award-winning architecture and is involved in all aspects of project management. Jay takes an active role in design and oversees the development of architecture projects. With extensive experience delivering transformational architecture, Jay has also developed a style of artwork which is a unique crossover of mixed-media, combining art more commonly associated with 'posterization'. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the faculty of Architecture at the Boston Architectural College (B-Arch).

Since joining Gulf Consult in 1975, Ubed has been singularly dedicated to the company’s success and actively seeks new prospects and horizons for its future. He worked closely with the firm’s founder, the late Hamad Alghanim, to build Gulf Consult into the exceptional company it is today. Ubed oversees all engineering aspects of the company's projects, in addition to general office management. His considerable experience of design, construction supervision, and management enables him to ensure the timely completion of all Gulf Consult's projects.

Previously, Ubed worked for four years as a structural engineer at Robert E. Jones Inc. of San Jose, California. Following this position, he moved to Kuwait and became a key member of the Gulf Consult team.

Ubed has a master's degree from UC Berkeley in Structural Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in California.

Atta is a Senior Associate and the Chief Mechanical Engineer at Gulf Consult. Since joining Gulf Consult in 1977, he has overseen the process of design, construction supervision, costing and maintenance on a wide range of projects including corporate, commercial, institutional, and infrastructure works. Recently, Atta led the mechanical design team working on the Ministry of Education Headquarters Building and Jaber Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah Hospital.

Atta is a qualified Mechanical Engineer and holds a B.E. degree from Jabalpur University in India.

Arun joined Gulf Consult in 2002 and currently serves as a Senior Associate and Head of QA/QC. Some of the projects he has worked on are: Military Academy for Ministry of Defense; Ministry of Education Headquarters Building; and several colleges/facilities for Kuwait University’s new campus at Sabah Al-Salem, University City.

Arun is an architect by profession, with over 40 years of extensive experience in the fields of architecture, construction and project management. Arun is member of the Kuwait Society of Engineers, Indian Council of Architects and also a Registered Architect with the Kuwait Municipality.

Having worked over 35 years in Kuwait managing numerous projects of various magnitudes, natures and complexities for private as well as the governmental sectors, he is thoroughly familiar with the local construction and building industry and has been involved with several reputable international consulting firms.

As Head of Contracts Follow-up Department, Eman brings a wealth of experience in contractual, planning and executive management to Gulf Consult. Since joining the firm in 2009, she has worked on projects in both design and supervision stages. Eman coordinates with project managers and resident engineers, ensuring compliance to contract agreements, durations, project schedules and follow-up communications to the client. She supports and orients the supervision department and staff to ensure proper comprehension and application of each project’s contractual documentation.

Prior to joining Gulf Consult, Eman was employed as a senior contract administrator at several firms in Kuwait, such as Dar Al-Handasah Consultants (Shair & Partners), and SMEC International Pty Ltd in association with Kuwait Engineering Group for Kuwait University. She has vast experience related to aspects of complex and large building and infrastructure projects in Kuwait, gained while working with government and funding agencies.

Eman holds a B.Sc. Engineering degree from the University of Ain Shams at Cairo.

Azizz is Deputy Managing Director at Gulf Consult, and he also oversees the firm's architectural work. His experience ranges from programming, planning and design, to project management and business development. He is particularly effective in guiding and working with international consultants that associate with Gulf Consult for large institutional and government projects in Kuwait. Azizz’s global perspective, wide ranging experience and in-depth knowledge of local practices ensures optimal implementation of complex projects.

He has over 40 years of professional experience as Architect-Planner, having worked on major projects in Kenya, England, Qatar, and Kuwait. Azizz came to Kuwait in 1982 to work as an Architect/Urban Designer in private practice; and in-between 1988-1990, he was with the Special Projects Follow-up Office of Kuwait's Ministry of Public Works. He then served as Dar Al Handasah's Associate in Qatar, before joining Gulf Consult in late 1995.

Azizz studied Architecture and Urban Design and Management in Kenya and England, and is a chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

Rasheed has been with Gulf Consult for over 33 years and is an integral part of its management team. He is currently a Director of the firm and Head of the Infrastructure Department. He has extensive experience in the field of utilities, especially sanitary networks and treatment, and is a key liaison with all of the related Ministries and the Municipality. He is a member of both the Kuwait Society of Engineers and the Jordanian Engineers Association.

Rasheed graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Kuwait University in 1981, and acquired his master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Newcastle, U.K., in 1996.

As Head of Interior Design Karen, a graduate of the Pratt institute in New York, is committed to interior design excellence. Karen has been with Gulf Consult since 2017, and has been active in Kuwait since 1999. She worked on many projects with Gulf Consult, including: Dasman Center for Treatment of Diabetes, Bayt Abdullah and most recently Amiri Genetics Research Center. She is an accomplished Interior Designer Leader with a demonstrated history of working in the international architecture & planning industry.

Karen is a strong arts and design professional specializing in conceptual design, color and materials and application. She is also one of the few NCIDQ qualified professionals in the Middle-East.

Ayman has been working at Gulf Consult since 1988 and serves as its Senior Liaison Architect and head of the Statutory Approval Department. He has experience in architectural design, supervision, and creating working drawings for a number of prestigious projects in Cairo and Kuwait. Ayman works as a contract engineer, supervisor engineer and designer engineer on many types of buildings in both public and private sectors, such as: residential; commercial; hotels; universities; and hospitals. He is a part of the design team for New Kuwait airport terminal and Police College.

He is member of Egyptian syndicate since 1986 and member of the Society of Engineers since 1988. In addition, Ayman was approved as a supervisor and designer engineer from Kuwait Municipality and Kuwait Fire Bridge.

Ayman earned an Architectural Design degree from Cairo University.

As Chief Financial Officer, Kaizar provides guidance and leadership to all aspects of the firm related to finance and accounting, banking, cash flow management , insurance, risk management, tax and regulation compliance, budgeting and internal controls, in addition to human resources and performance management.

Kaizar joined Gulf Consult in 2003, and has over 25 years of experience in different financial sectors, including auditing and insurance.

Kaizar holds a Chartered Accountancy Degree (ACA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, obtained a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from the Institute of Internal Auditors, U.S.A., and is an Associate Member (ACA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW).

Raj has been working with Gulf Consult since 1988 and is currently an Associate and Projects Manager. He has a broad range of experience managing the design of multi-disciplinary projects and an excellent working knowledge of local processes and procedures. He has led numerous major projects at Gulf Consult, including: Zain Headquarters; Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base Buildings; Equate Petrochemical Complex; Marine Science Center; KNPC Head Office; KOC New Office Complex; Seera Complex; and Toyota City.

He has a total of 30 years post qualification experience, in addition to seven years as an intern. Raj is an associate member of the Indian Institute of Architects, a registered member of the Council of Architecture in India, and a member of the Kuwait Society of Engineers.

Mr. Rao has been with Gulf Consult since 1994, and is currently an Associate and Head of the Structural Engineering Department. Mansoor leads the design work of structural systems for all projects and is responsible for the resolution of critical structural related issues that might arise during construction. Some of his most recent and significant projects include: Kuwait Cancer Center, Ministry of Education Headquarters Building, Special Needs Schools, and the new Kuwait International Airport T2.

Before joining Gulf Consult, Mansoor worked for 18 years in Pakistan on various types of projects. He has over 41 years of experience in a variety of projects, including hospitals, hotels, multistory offices, residential and educational buildings, bridges, treatment plants, pump stations, and recreational developments.

Mansoor graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering from NED Government Engineering College Karachi, Pakistan.
