Gulf Consult in association with Langdon Wilson International of Los Angeles, USA, was appointed by the Ministry of Public Works (MPW) to undertake Master Planning studies for the Ministry of Health at the existing premises of Al-Adan Hospital in Hadiya and Al-Amiri Hospital in Kuwait City.

Master Plans for both hospitals were developed to serve a forecast 2030 population for their catchment area. The Master Plans were based on the analysis of detailed data collection by the Project Team, which included an extensive consultation process with all major stakeholders and each hospital department in order to determine the future requirements of the hospitals.
Following the development of the Master Plan, performance specifications and documents were prepared to allow the Client to tender for and ultimately appoint a design-build contractor for this purpose. The project was completed in 2011.
