Gulf Consult in association with Parsons Engineering Science (USA) were appointed by the Ministry of Public Works (MPW) Sanitary Engineering Sector to undertake the full design and construction supervision for the Kuwait Sewerage Improvements Phase VIII Part(A) for the Egaila Area.
A treated effluent line in 300 mm diameter will be constructed from Riqqa waste water treatment plant to Egaila Pumping Station. This will be used for the irrigation of landscaping at the pump station. The Egaila Pumping Station is 100 m x 150 m, with a depth reaching 48 m. It has been designed to take 362,880 m3 flow by the year 2035. After completion and commissioning of the new sewage system and the pump station, the existing pump station A-14 and A-15 will be demolished, and the Fahaheel expressway existing lifting stations S-16, S-17, S-18, S-19 and S-20 will be abandoned.
